Due to the KW FoodBank's Pandemic Continuity Business Plan Implementation - the Pioneer Park Food Cupboard Program will be closed as of today.
A list of "vital service" food access locations will be posted at the church. These locations will continue to provide food access. We will be sure to send out a notification when we are ready to open again. Thank you Here is a list of the Vital Service Programs of the Food Assistance Network Food Banks: - The Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank - The Food Bank of Waterloo Region Hamper Programs - The Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank - Carizon Family and Community Services - House of Friendship Emergency Food Hamper Program - Salvation Army Community & Family Services – Cambridge - Salvation Army Community & Family Services – KW - Wilmot Family Resource Centre - Woolwich Community Services Meal Programs - Cambridge Shelter - Ray of Hope Community Centre - Trinity Community Table - The Working Centre – St. John’s Kitchen Shelter & Residential Programs - All In December 2011 we began a Food Cupboard Program in the Pioneer Park Community, affiliated with the Kitchener/Waterloo Region Food Bank.
The program runs Tuesday evenings 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm and Thursday afternoons 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. We are currently assisting over 150 family units every month. We appreciate all the support and volunteers from Pioneer Park Church, various other Churches and our Community. Donations are always appreciated. You are welcome to drop off non perishable food items in the donation boxes located at any Food Bank location. Please call the church 519-748-4313 if you would like to make a monetary donation. |
